A free concert will be held at Levy Park on January 6th. Kicking things off at 12:30 p.m. is blues musician Mark May, and then Raa Raa Blues & Zydeco performs from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., both from the Houston Blues Society and sponsored by the Levy Park Conservancy.
The headliner, sponsored by Direct Energy, is the popular Texas band Brant Croucher and Friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. performing on the Pavilion Stage.  Croucher’s music generally falls into the Americana music realm, but he and his band are not tied to one genre. He describes his music as “honest, lyric-driven songs written using an acoustic or electric guitar, or a piano.â€
Texas-based celebrity chef Tim Love (who will open his flagship restaurant Woodshed at Levy Park in 2018) and his team are providing delectable food offerings and beverages from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., in addition to Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church invites you to join them for a Creation Hymn Fest, a musical celebration of renewal during the season of Easter (and Earth month). The church will celebrate and give thanks for God’s good creation in hymns and songs from various lands and traditions and hear anew the call to care for the creation. Attendees will sing well known and loved hymns as well as be introduced to some new musical friends! Light refreshments served afterward.
Christ the King is located at 2353 Rice Blvd. in Houston. Metro bus lines 41 and 27 stop nearby. Bike parking is available in the church lot on Rice Blvd.
