TAC meets on the third Wednesday of every month. Meetings are held the second floor of H-GAC’s office located at:Â 3555 Timmons Ln, Suite 120, Houston, TX 77027. Dates are subject to change, so please contact H-GAC with any questions.
Public engagement is by definition a two-way process, involving interaction and listening, with the goal of generating mutual benefit between two or more groups. Most public entities conduct some form of public engagement regularly to better inform their internal processes and to meet federal, state and local requirements. But how can those entities and others in the region better engage in meaningful interactions with their constituents?
Join H-GAC for another Clean Waters Initiative workshop on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Houston-Galveston Area Council, Conference Rooms B and C (second floor) to learn more about public engagement efforts in the region and how you can apply successful techniques to your own projects.
Speakers from the Galveston Bay Foundation, Artist Boat, and the Texas A&M – Texas Coastal Watershed Program will provide participants with an overview of the mechanisms they have used to engage partners, stakeholders, and the public. Speakers will highlight which efforts have been successful, providing “lessons learned†to help attendees better engage in their respective communities.
Following each presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and further delve into the topic area. For additional information or assistance, e-mail Kathy.Janhsen@h-gac.com or call 713-993-2423.

Meetings are held on the fourth Friday of each month EXCEPT for December to avoid conflicting with the Christmas holidays.  All meetings will be held in Conference Room A on the second floor. H-GAC’s office located at: 3555 Timmons Ln, Houston, TX 77027.
Meeting dates are subject to change, so please contact H-GAC with any questions or confirmation.
