Join the TX League of Conservation Voters at the Texas Capitol steps for a rally against the Governor’s divisive agenda and speak up for local tree ordinances on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 1:00 PM on the State Capitol’s front steps. There are very real issues facing everyday Texans, especially when it comes to the environment—none of those issues are going to be addressed this Special Session. Students will still be at risk of drinking contaminated water in schools, clean air regulations will continue to be inadequate and conservation efforts will remain unfinished. Texans deserve better.

On May 14, 2018, from 7-8:30 p.m., Mi Familia Vota and OCA-Houston will cohost a Candidate Forum for candidates in the primary runoff elections for Congressional Districts 7 and 22 and Texas State Senate District 17. Among the topics that will be addressed are the environment, immigration, education, and gun reform. On Saturday, September 8 at 10:00 am, come to Emancipation Park, 2018 Emancipation Ave, Houston and join in with thousands of others in cities and towns around the world to demand our local and federal leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us. Join Citizens’ Climate Lobby as they build political will for legislation on a federal level that will put a price on carbon pollution through a carbon fee and dividend. 

On March 15th, in Houston City Hall, from 12-2 p.m., Houston students/climate activists/teachers will be gathering to demand Texas legislators take action against climate change.

Join us for this important Environmental Forum to discuss topics that are focused on the City of Houston.  You are encouraged to bike or travel electrically by taking the Green Line to the Coffee Plant/Second Ward light rail station.
