National Bike Challenge with BikeHouston

From May 1 through September 30, 2019, BikeHouston, whose mission is the implementation of the City of Houston Bike Plan, will be sponsoring the city’s participation in the National Bike Challenge, a nationwide event that unites thousands of new and existing bicyclists across the country in friendly competition designed to celebrate and encourage biking. Insight: 1: the power of seeing into a situation.  2: the act or result of apprehending the inner nature of things or seeing intuitively.

Enter your best photos, giving visual insight about wildlife living in the wild and then invite your friends and family to vote for their favorites!  Proceeds from the contest and calendar sales support TWRC’s mission to promote environmental conservation through public education and rehabilitation of Texas wildlife.

Please contact Julie Francis at hermannparkbirdsurvey@gmail.com if you’d like to participate. The Hermann Park Survey is conducted on the second Monday of the month. Everyone is welcome — beginners, experts, or even if you’re just curious. Please bring binoculars. If you don’t have any, let them know in advance and they’ll provide them.
