TWRC Wildlife Center seeks Volunteer Coordinator

TWRC Wildlife Center is seeking a part-time Volunteer Coordinator, who will be focused on maintaining and growing TWRC’s Volunteer and Intern programs. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for hosting monthly interest meetings and orientation training as well as creating the volunteer newsletter. The VC must maintain communication, electronic and physical files, as well as data and statistics for the volunteer and internship programs. The Volunteer Coordinator also handles recruitment and onboarding for the TWRC Internship Program.


Job Duties & Responsibilities
o Maintain & update volunteer/intern contracts, forms, data, training materials, and safety guidelines as well as policy & procedure
o Manage volunteer email account and maintain regular correspondence with volunteers via email and phone
o Manage and plan annual volunteer appreciation event and additional volunteer programming for social and educational purposes.
o Host monthly volunteer interest meetings for recruitment and orientations for training
o Create and distribute volunteer newsletter and additional announcements or communications at discretion of TWRC Director
o Manage volunteer sign up database in order to manage operational schedule as well as track volunteer service
o Supervise volunteers in daily activities and work with staff to maintain consistent operations.
o Embody a consistent, positive and professional presence while facilitating relationships between volunteers, interns and staff
o Create new ways to recruit, manage, and engage volunteers in order to promote program growth
o Manage TWRC internship program through recruitment, onboarding, communication and general maintenance


Qualifications
o High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
o Fondness for working with people and animals, Friendly demeanor
o Able to stoop, bend, and lift up to 20lbs
