Description: Eric Dargan, Deputy Director, Public Works and Engineering will be speaking about the new tool in Public Works, The Street Surface Assessment Vehicle, a dispassionate means of setting priorities for street repair and reconstruction. The objective is to establish priorities on the basis of need, not politics. Remember, streets are part of the drainage system. They take over when storm sewers and ditches alone can’t handle a heavy downpour.
