  1. Texas Recycles Day. Texas Recycle Day is happening on November 15th. The public event is part of America Recycles Day, which was designed to promote awareness about recycling and to encourage participation. For more information and to learn how to become involved, visit http://www.kab.org
  2. Film: WASTE LAND. The film addresses waste and how communities handle it. There are workers that manage the waste and pick out recycled materials. The film documents Vik Muniz’s journey to Rio de Janeiro, which holds the world’s largest dump. The film will be playing at the Cinema Arts Festival Houston on November 15.   3. Green and Healthy Homes Initiative. Houston partners are invited to participate in the Green and Healthy Homes Initiative. It allows people to share their ideas to integrate efforts and overcome barriers to make homes healthy, safe, and energy efficient. Visit http://www.greenandhealthyhomesdialogue.org/ to participate. The Dialogue is live now until November 21st.
  4. John Paul Stevens. John Paul Stevens will be the next speaker at the Progressive Forum. Widely regarded as the leader of the liberal wing, John Paul Stevens, 90, was the third-longest serving justice in U.S. Supreme Court history.
