Yolanda Green to emcee Synergy Awards Luncheon November 3

The Citizens’ Environmental Coalition is pleased to announce that Yolanda Green will emcee the 2010 Synergy Awards Luncheon. Yolanda Green is a community pioneer, children’s advocate and television personality. Ms. Green currently serves as the Community Relations Director and Host of “Outlook Houston” and “Going Green” for Houston’s channel 39. “Going Green with Yolanda Green” is a weekly half hour program highlighting businesses; commercial products, government programs and local initiatives making significant strides in ensuring our communities are eco-friendly. Yolanda joins honorary chair Ms. Terry Hershey and event co-chairs Jeff Shell and Michele Wilkins. Ms. Terry Hershey, who helped found the CEC almost 40 years ago, will be the honorary chair of the event. Ms. Hershey will be joined by a team of Jeff Shell (Modern Images, Inc./Neal Hamil Agency) and Michele Wilkins (CEC board member and Environmental Project Manager for the Harris County Flood Control District) as event co-Chairs.

The annual Synergy Awards and luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Houston Racquet Club.

Since 1997, the CEC has hosted the annual Synergy Awards for Environmental Excellence to honor members of our community who have made impressive contributions to the local environment. More information, including sponsorship opportunities and registration details, will be available soon.
