Description: Three field trips are scheduled for Fall 2010. All three trips will be on Sundays and led by Dr. Larry Brown.

Sunday,October 31: Memorial Park. We looked at the spring flowers earlier this year. Now we will seek out the fall flora. So our third field trip will be in the 1466 acre Memorial Park, where many trails lead to meadows, dense forests, and deep ravines with a large variety of vascular plant species.

Continue to use the parking lot 0.4 mile east of the Arboretum. (
For those new to the field trips, after leaving the Arboretum and heading east, take a right at the split in the road just before
the light and then immediately another right into the parking lot.)

Please wear appropriate footwear for walking through wet or dry fields, bring drinking water and bug spray. If the weather is drizzling rain, we proceed, but if it is a gully-washer, we still gather at the Arboretum and then cancel. We meet at the Arboretum between 8 and
