Champion Lake Public Use Area to Re-open March 10, 2010
Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge is re-opening the Champion Lake Public Use Area on Wednesday, March 10 after a month of flooding. The water has finally dropped below the deck on the fishing pier and in the parking lot. We plan to remove the mud and debris on Tuesday. The Champion Lake Public Use Area is located at the end of County Road 417 off of FM 1409 in southern Liberty and is free of charge. It is open from sunrise to sunset.
