Description: H-GAC Environmental Awareness Roundtable: Latino Outreach Partnerships and Opportunities. January 12, 2010, 9:00 am to Noon. Join H-GAC at the next Environmental Awareness Roundtable as Juan Esquivel, President & CEO of Talento Bilingue de Houston (TBH) and Founder of Planeta Verde Now discusses the tools, techniques, and opportunities that his unique organization brings to our region’s environmental awareness community. Since its inception in 1977, Talento Bilingue de Houston (TBH) has provided Houston’s Latino community with opportunities to celebrate Latino culture and art. Over the past 33 years the organization has come to be a true Cultural Arts Center representing the layers of tradition, history, and social norms that constitute the unique Latino cultures represented in the Houston area. TBH has built upon its recognition in the Latino community to launch an environmental awareness campaign that uses the arts to propel Latinos into action on green issues.
