Low Impact Development (LID) Design Competition Update

The Houston Land/Water Sustainability Forum launched a major Design Competition on September 1st. Twenty-three integrated design teams are currently developing designs that use Low Impact Development (LID) methods rather than traditional development techniques in three design challenge categories. Registration ended November 7th and submittals are due December 14th. The conclusion to this two-stage competition will be the Finals Event to be held January 27th. Finalist teams will be pitching their design solutions, in six action-packed ‘Lightning Presentation’ minutes, to an audience which will include a distiguished Jury Panel made up of some our area’s leading developers and political influencers.
