Mercer Society Grower

The Grower of The Mercer Society (TMS) is responsible for maximizing plant sale profits via management of all routine aspects of the Northside Greenhouse Compound (NGC). The grower acquires, propagates and grows plant material to be used for TMS fundraising plant sales, monitors facility maintenance and assists NGC volunteers. The Grower reports to The Mercer Society Director of Operations and collaborates with Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens’ (MABG) Horticultural Operations Coordinator. The Grower needs to be capable of working independently, establishing goals and objectives and prioritizing work tasks. As a TMS employee, the Grower is expected to assist the organization as needed as well as attend events.
