Trees For Schools

The Trees For Schools program educates third grade students about the importance of trees in our environment. Trees For Houston representatives administer our program at elementary schools across the greater Houston area. The program is a 45-minute PowerPoint presentation that covers basic tree biology and tree benefits. The students receive Growing Together kits, graciously provided by Devon Energy, which includes a native tree seed, containter and soil along with a bookmark/ruler and recycled pencil. During our 2008-2009 season, Trees For Houston reached over 4,000 students with this program. More at http://www.treesforhouston.org
