Memorial Park Conservancy Moving

After nearly three years at the Upper Kirby District office at 3015 Richmond Avenue, Ste. 250, the Memorial Park Conservancy staff returns to Memorial Park. We are delighted to move temporarily to a 1920’s home of the first park caretaker and former office of the Urban Forestry Department of the Houston Parks & Recreation Department. (Note: Urban Forestry has recently moved to Souden, near Hempstead Highway).

In the coming months, Memorial Park Conservancy hopes to renovate and improve the Memorial Park Golf Clubhouse with an eye to eventually office there. We welcome the general public and volunteers to share in the “sprucing up” and TLC of our temporary 1,100 sq. ft. office by contacting allison@memorialparkconservancy.org for more information about ongoing volunteer opportunities and/or carol@memorialparkconservancy.org regarding contribution possibilities. Our thanks to HPARD Director Joe Turner, Rick Dewees, Abel Gonzales, TJ Marks, and Jay Daniel, for their generosity in allowing Memorial Park Conservancy office space in our park.
