EEE begins planning HISD Sustainability Education Summit.

The spring Environmental Educators’ Exchange (EEE) meeting takes place on:

The focus of this meeting will involve the planning of the upcoming 3rd Annual HISD Sustainability Education Summit taking place on a weekday in mid-August.  Last year around 200 teachers, administrators and exhibitors attended.  The Summit occurs as a collaboration between National Wildlife Federation, Houston ISD and EEE.  In order to make this year’s event better than last year’s, we need your input and assistance.

In addition to holding the Summit steering committee meeting, we will take a quick tour of the Sustainability Education Center at Crockett.

We are interested to expand this year’s Summit to not only feature workshops and presentations on the creation, management and use if school-yard habitats and ponds, but to expand to include other topics like recycling, LEED schools and energy/water conservation.

Anyone interested in attending, exhibiting, presenting and/or coordinating for the Sustainability Education Summit is invited.  Feel free to bring someone else that may be want to be involved. Refreshments will be provided.
