SYNERGY AWARD LUNCHEON IS THURSDAY

The Citizens’ Environmental Coalition’s annual Synergy Awards that recognize outstanding environmental achievements will be presented at a luncheon on October 23 at the Houston Racquet Club. The club has a beautiful view of Buffalo Bayou.This year, CEC is presenting the Synergy Awards for Corporate Awareness to Anheuser Busch Houston Brewery and the Houston Astros. Other winners are: Community Activist Award – Linda Mercer; Army and Sarah Emmott Conservation Award; East Bay Shoreline Restoration Project, Galveston Bay Foundation; Sustainable Planning – Land Tejas Companies, Discovery at Spring Trails; Environmental Education Award – Diana Foss, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; Presidents Award – Texas Master Naturalists, Gulf Coast, Heartwood, and Galveston Chapters, and Founders Award – Roksan Okan-Vick/ Houston Parks Board.
