Tonight! Environmental Forum for Houston City Council Candidates with League of Women Voters

CEC is pleased to partner with the League of Women Voters to offer an environmental-themed candidate forum for City of Houston council races. Additional event partners include HARC, Keep Houston Beautiful, American Lung Association Plains-Gulf Region, Texas Campaign for the Environment, Environment Texas, and Houston Tomorrow.

Attendance is free but registration is requested for planning purposes: https://cechouston.eventbrite.com.

Over a dozen candidates from Districts B and D, and At-Large Positions 2 and 3 have indicated that they plan to participate. A reception and registration will be from 6:00 to 6:30, and a moderated forum will start at 6:30.

The forum will be held at the Main Street Theater’s Chelsea Market location at 4716 Montrose Blvd. near Highway 59. Parking is conveniently located in two large parking lots directly behind the theater. Additional street parking can be found on Chelsea Blvd. The entrance to the parking lot is on the north side of the building next to the Danton’s Seafood Grill.

Questions will relate to topics, listed below, of interest to the CEC’s 100 member organizations. Questions will also relate to the policy positions of the League of Women Voters, which takes an interest in natural resources (http://lwv.org/content/natural-resources).
