ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY AND OUTREACH SPECIALIST

The Galveston Bay Foundation is seeking a staffer to develop and pursue policy initiatives related to habitat, water quality, and water quantity in and around Galveston Bay. The individual will make presentations, convene meetings, provide written materials, place articles in newsletters, and otherwise work to secure the participation of local governments and interest groups with a stake in strong environmental-flows protection for the Trinity/San Jacinto River-Galveston Bay system. An additional focus will be on wetland impacts in the Galveston Bay watershed. Qualifications – at least a bachelor’s degree biology, environmental science, or public affairs; one to three years of professional experience in conservation advocacy; and excellent written and oral communication skills.
