LOCALLY GROWN GOURMENT DINNER TUESDAY

The Urban Harvest Houston Farmers’ Market is hosting a Farm Table Dinner at Brennan’s of Houston on Tuesday, May 6. Tickets are $85. Proceeds benefit Urban Harvest and the culinary scholarship fund of Les Dames d’Escoffier. The menu, as currently planned, is: roasted beet salad w/ olive oil marinated goat cheese and arugula, Creole barbeque shrimp, chicken Ballontine with fennel and kale, summer squash gratin, honey caramelized A&M carrots, crushed new potatoes w/ spring onion in a warm bacon vinaigrette, and blueberry pecan Linzer tart with lemon scented chantilly cream. Texas wines will be served. To buy a ticket, stop by the greeter’s table at the market (3000 Richmond, back parking lot) on Saturday morning or contact Jacquie at (832) 656-2819 or jacquie@urbanharvest.org. You will be able to buy many of the ingredients for this dinner at the Farmers’ Market if you want to make it yourself!
