ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE GRANTS
Groups working on solutions to local environmental and public health issues can apply for grants from the Environmental Protection Agency and its Environmental Justice Small Grants (EJSG) program.Nonprofits, cities, counties and federally recognized tribes can submit grant proposals until June 30, 2008. The EJSG program is designed to fund projects that address local environmental and public health issue within an affected community. Projects should increase understanding of issues, identify ways to address these issues at the local level, and educate and empower the community.
