HOUSTON ORGANIZER FOR ONE-MONTH CONTRACT

This contractor for Public Citizen would help organize and implement, over the next six weeks, the Coal Moratorium Now demonstration and conference scheduled for February 27th and 28th in Houston. The purpose of this event is to stop global warming. Much of the work will be during evenings and weekends. Contractor can work from home and must provide own computer and phone. This individual will work closely with conference coordinators to contact community members and invite them to the events and to volunteer. The job also requires coordinating volunteers to staff a phone bank and assist coordinators with media and mailings. Experience with media is a plus. Local connections also a plus.
