Today’s the big day for the Texas Legislature, which officially starts at noon on January 13, 2015.
House Bills
HB 613: Relating to sunset review of certain municipal management districts.
HB 619: Relating to an exemption from and a limitation on the sales tax imposed on certain boats and boat motors.
HB 624: Relating to the deposit of certain amounts to the credit of the Texas emissions reduction plan fund.
HB 632: Relating to the planning and funding of water projects to be constructed in a region other than the region proposing the project.
HB 636: Relating to the fines for the operation of overweight vehicles transporting agricultural products.
HB 652: Relating to the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan.
HB 655: Relating to the storage and recovery of water in aquifers; authorizing fees and surcharges.
HB 659: Relating to the waiver of state park, museum, and other state-operated facility entrance fees for persons with certain disabilities.
HB 669: Relating to the authority of a public utility agency to provide water and sewer service and enter into contracts.
Senate Bills
SB 289: Relating to the licensure or certification of volunteer firefighters and members of industrial emergency response teams.
Senate Joint Resolutions
SJR 19 : Proposing a constitutional amendment limiting appropriations from the economic stabilization fund to a total amount that the comptroller of public accounts estimates will not result at any time in a fund balance of less than a prescribed minimum amount, other than in an emergency if certain requirements are met.
SJR 22: Proposing a constitutional amendment relating to the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife.
