BAYOU CITY FARMERS’ MARKET CELEBRATES THIRD ANNIVERSARY
Bayou City Farmers’ Market, started by Urban Harvest three years ago, is growing by leaps and bounds. It has about 30 vendors every Saturday and regularly draws 1,000 visitors. To celebrate the occasion, there will be a party on Saturday, September 15, from 8 am to noon. There will be hand-cranked ice cream made from the milk of locally pastured grass-fed Jersey cows, homemade birthday cake, live music, and activities for children. The market meets every Saturday morning from 8 to noon and every Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 at 3000 Richmond, in the back parking lot.
