CEC Welcomes New Executive Director

The CEC is pleased to welcome Rachel Powers as its new executive director, effective April 1, 2013. Rachel has volunteered with the CEC since 2004, when she joined the board of trustees. For the past four years, she has served as volunteer newsletter editor and webmaster. Rachel has experience working for and volunteering with several CEC member organizations, and is deeply committed to CEC’s mission of working to ‘foster dialogue and collaboration on environmental issues, and serve as an information clearinghouse for our member groups and the community at large. The CEC would like to acknowledge and thank Ms. Shawn McFarland for stepping up and serving as the interim executive director for the CEC during the search for the new executive director.
