H-GAC seeks Community and Environmental Senior Planner

What will I be doing?

Join a team of motivated professionals seeking to set the bar in water quality data collection, assessment, and management.

  • Managing laboratory contracts and ensuring laboratory accreditation standards are being met for Texas Clean Rivers Program Partners.
  • Assisting in the quality assurance of ambient water quality monitoring and special studies data
  • Playing a major role in the development of Basin Highlights and Basin Summary Reports for the Clean Rivers Program
  • Managing the Homeowner Wastewater Assistance Program
  • Developing project scopes of work and budgets
  • Coordinate project teams including internal and/or external team members

Key Qualifications

  • Experience working in a water quality laboratory. Extensive knowledge of laboratory methods, accreditation, and Quality Assurance
  • Experience working with large quantities of water quality and environmental data in spreadsheets and database software.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing skills
  • Extensive experience working with On-Site Sewage Facilities
  • Experience working with sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills

Do you have… 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study  
  • 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties
