Houston City Council Agenda – November 14, 2017
This city will consider the following agenda items at the November 14, 2017, Houston Council Meeting. The agenda items include contracts awarded to companies to install new water filtration systems and repair storm drainage systems to reduce flooding.
26Â – Nearly $12.6 million from the Water and Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund was granted to Veolia Water Technologies to deliver a tertiary filtration system for the 69th Street Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 2525 S. Sgt. Macario Garcia Dr., Houston, TX 77020. A tertiary filtration system is the final treatment stage for waste water, where its quality is improved before being returned to the environment.
29 - Nearly $800,000 from the Street & Traffic Control and Storm Drainage DDSRF was granted to KIT Professionals, Inc. This is part of the Street and Traffic Capital Improvement Project (CIP) to improve street drainage and reduce flooding.
32 – Nearly $2 million from the Water and Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund was granted to T Construction LLC to remove, dispose, and install new waterline valves. The project area is within city limits.
33 – Over $15.3 million from the Street & Traffic Control and Storm Drainage DDSRF and $974,000 from the Water and Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund was awarded to Triple B Services. This is part of the Street and Traffic Capital Improvement Project (CIP) to improve street drainage and reduce flooding. The location of the project will be Clay Road (north), Brickhouse Gully (south), Hollister (east), and Peppermill Road (west).
