Join us for a FREE class in the McGovern Centennial Gardens’ Family Garden as Glen Miracle, owner of The Laughing Frog Farm, shares insights the significance of integrating livestock into farming systems.

Since the dawn of agriculture, farm animals and farm crops have grown and developed together in a seamless way, however, we have moved far away from this practice in many American agronomy farms. Adaptable to the home gardener or the burgeoning land farmer, we invite you to join us and learn about how and why to implement this method.

Glen Miracle is owner and farmer at The Laughing Frog Farm in Hempstead, TX and is one of Houston’s purveyors of top notch veggies, fruits, chickens, and occasionally faux painting.

The Family Garden is an edible, interactive garden, designed to showcase vegetables, herbs, fruit, citrus, and berries that can be grown successfully in the Houston area. The entire Houston community is invited to participate in cultivating these beds, and to experience the touch, the scents, the colors, and the taste of fresh vegetables and herbs. You may see beds in various stages of production, from newly-planted all the way to harvest-ready.
