KEEP THE STRUCTURAL PEST CONTROL BOARD

Charlotte Wells, executive director of Texans for Alternatives to Pesticides is urging voters to contact your state representative and senator and ask them keep the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) as a stand-alone agency. The SPCB licenses pesticide applicators and enforces the state laws requiring integrated pesticide management in schools. Ask the legislators to amend Senate Bill 906 and House Bill 2458, which makes the SPCB a section of the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Wells says, “Our health is at risk! These bills affect every person in the state because pesticides are everywhere. Please hold our legislators accountable and make the SPCB stronger instead of hiding them under the Texas Department of Agriculture.”
