“HOT TOWN, COOL CITY” PREMIERES TONIGHT

The film “Hot Town, Cool City”, by local filmmaker Maureen McNamara will premiere at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston Friday, March 30 and be shown again on Saturday and Sunday. Looking beyond the way Houston is depicted by the mainstream media, “Hot Town, Cool City” showcases the sites that make the fourth-largest U.S. city unique. Segments featuring a variety of iconoclastic destinations are deftly combined with engaging interviews, lively music, and a captivating montage of people and places. Revealing a metropolitan area teeming with personality, creativity, and a sense of community, the film validates Houstonians’ pride in their city while inspiring everyone else to plan a visit. The opening is at 8 pm, Friday, March 30. The film will be shown again on March 31 at 1, 6, and 8 pm and on Sunday at 1 pm. For more information see MFAH’s website or the film’s website.
