AWARDS FOR PARKS

Houston-Galveston Area Council presented its first “Best Practices in Parks and Natural Areas Honor Awards” at its board of directors meeting February 20.Honors for regional planning went to Asakura Robinson Company LLC for the Beltway 8 Regional Park Master Plan, Phase I Design. Projects that were honored were Buffalo Bayou Partnership for the Sabine-to Bagby Promenade and Harris County Flood Control District for Arthur Storey Stormwater Detention Basin and Park.

H-GAC also recognized Armand Bayou Nature Center, Sugar Land Parks Department, Clark Condon Associates, Greater Greenspoint Redevelopment Authority, Harris County Improvement District #4 (Energy Corridor), The Park People, Trust for Public Land, and The Woodlands Community Service Corporation for outstanding contributions to the region in planning and projects.
