NATIVE PLANT NURSERY NEEDS HELPERS

The Katy Prairie Conservancy needs help to get its coastal prairie native plant nursery ready for the upcoming growing season. The nursery was started in 2006 as part of a multi-group effort to produce native plants and seeds to restore the vanishing Katy Prairie and coastal prairie throughout the region. On Saturday, Feb 24, from 9 am to noon, volunteers will establish planting areas for new seedlings, lay down weed barriers, rake, and weed planted areas. The nursery is located on KPC’s Field Office Preserve at 31950 Hebert Road in Waller.
