GARRISON KEILLOR, TIM FLANNERY TO SPEAK HERE THIS SPRING

The Progressive Forum has announced that its spring lecture series includes Garrison Keillor and Tim Flannery. Keillor is the host and writer of “A Prairie Home Companion,” heard by four million listeners each week, as well as “The Writer’s Almanac.” He’ll be performing alone on stage at the Wortham Center on Monday, Feb 19, at 7:30 pm.

Flannery is the author of “The Weather Makers: How Man Is Changing the Climate and What It Means for Life on Earth.” The book is widely acclaimed as the best and clearest account of the science behind global warming. This renowned Australian scientist presents the powerful connection between climate change and human activity, as well as a plan for eventually reversing the damage we “weather makers” are doing.
