Description: Rice Prof. John B. Anderson, author of “The Formation and Future of the Texas Upper Coast,” discusses sea level rise and climate change

This month we teamed with the Galveston Bay Keeper and invited John B.
Anderson, professor of earth sciences at Rice University. As a marine
biologist John has spent 20 years studying the Texas coastline and the
continental shelf. John’s full gamut of research includes controversial
issues such as sea level rise and climate change in the upper Texas coast.

In his current book “the Formation and Future of the Upper Texas Coast”
John answers questions about sand, storms, and living by the sea. As all
of us are in close proximity to the Texas coastline, we understand the
fine line needed to maintain this balance.
