Description: Join us as we partner with Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy and
Kinder Institute for Urban Research to present at talk by one of the country’s most
fascinating visionary thinkers – Robert Lang, Ph.D., renowned urban sociologist,
Director of the Brookings Mountain West, and author of Megapolitan America.

Megapolitan America goes into spectacular demographic, economic, and social detail
in mapping the dramatic – and surprisingly optimistic – shifts ahead. Lang’s discussion
will focus on how the Texas Triangle is positioned to be one of the most important
and powerful of the 10 densely-settled economic engines he calls American megapolitan clusters.
