Description: Volunteers are needed to plant native coastal prairie grasses. This annual even aids the efforts to restore approximately 400 acres of farmland to native prairie habitat and reestablish the diverse wildlife that it once had. Volunteers should be at least 14-years-old and capable of digging and planting, but all family groups are welcome. Held at Sheldon Lake State Park and Environmental Learning Center, 15315 Beaumont Highway, Houston, Texas 77049.
