Description: J. David Bamberger is founder of the Bamberger Ranch Preserve (BRP), a 501-C-3 foundation, known as “Selah†meaning “pause and reflectâ€. The ranch is in the Hill Country near Johnson City, Texas. In 1969 the locals called it “The worst piece of real estate in Blanco Countyâ€, 5,500 acres of badly managed, degraded ranch land that had been virtually destroyed by more than a century of misuse.
Over the past 42 years of restoring Selah to health and productivity, David has demonstrated how a damaged environment can be restored, through selective clearing and planting of native trees and grasses. Through reestablishment of nearly 88 different species of native grasses covering much of the land, dormant springs began to flow and creeks began to run so the story of Selah is also a story of water.
Ticket price is $25 for all attendees and their guests. Price includes a wonderfully delicious brunch featuring Breakfast Tacos, Organic Breads, Jams, Spreads, Fresh Fruit, Organic Gourmet Coffee, Teas and Fresh Juice.
