Description: Say the word bat to many people and visions of horror movies start playing out in their minds. However, these small flying mammals are quite beneficial and not near as frightening as the movies would have you believe. Visitors ages 8 and up are invited to attend this early evening program to discover which species of bats call Harris County home, and why these flying mammals are so beneficial to humans and the environment. Afterward, take a walk to see bats in action at Jones Park.
Reservations are required and may be made beginning Wednesday, July 13.
