- Bacteria Implementation Group. The Bacteria Implementation Group (BIG) is trying to remedy high levels of bacteria in waterways identified in four Total Maximum Daily Load projects in the Houston Region. The group is having a meeting on July 19th at 1:30pm at the H-GAC offices to review progress towards soliciting formal support, address any issues that have been raised during the process, and discuss specifics pertaining to the TCEQ review process, BIG annual reports. - Full Moon at Armand Bayou Nature Center. There will be many events taking place at the Armand Bayou Nature Center during the full moon this weekend. On Friday at 7:30pm, a a Prairie Hayride will allow visitors to travel through one of the region’s rarest habitats with the guidance from a top prairie naturalist. On Saturday, a guided Owl Prowl Night Hike will lead visitors into the hardwood forest in search of owls and other creatures of the darkness while a Moonlight Bayou Cruise on the Bayou Ranger pontoon boat will provide unique up close wildlife viewing along Armand Bayou. - Global Seawater Rise with Rives Taylor. Emerging Professionals will be hosting an informational session about global seawater rise with Rives Taylor, Gensler’s Director of Sustainability.
