Description: “Justice and Fairness” will be the theme of the theme of the 12th Annual Houston Peace Camp, which is sponsored by the International Women’s League of Peace and Freedom. It will be held July 25-29 at the beautiful Cameron Retreat Center, 2403 Holcombe Blvd.

This event is an alternative day camp experience which fosters an understanding of peace, justice, and environmental awareness for elementary age youth. The children enjoy yoga, drama, puppets, music, cooking,gardening and special guests. Learning to deal with bullies, problem solving, lessons about peacemakers and other activities are part of the program. There is an emphasis on co-operation rather than competition, and children are introduced to peaceful conflict resolution skills. The tuition is $125, and some scholarships are available.
