Description: Get a head start on becoming a vet and have a tail wagging good time! Come out to the Children’s Museum of Houston for an interactive demo which will show you about the responsibilities that come with owning a pet.
The FutureVet® program was created to make it easy and fun for children and young adults to learn more about pet healthcare and what it takes to become a vet. FutureVet toolkits make it easy for pet healthcare professionals to educate children about a veterinary career in an interactive and entertaining way.
This multi-part show-and-tell will be conducted with the purpose of teaching you the basics of veterinary medicine. Topics included are meeting the vet, what pets need, pet examination and being a responsible pet owner. You will even get a treat at the end of the presentation – your own diploma and goodie bag!
MUSEUM HOURS: Mon. – Sat.; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sun: Noon – 6 p.m.
Every Monday and second Saturday of the month open at 9 a.m. for members.
Included with general Museum admission: $8 per person and $7 for seniors 65+. Children under one and Museum Members receive free admission.
Free Family Night every Thursday 5 – 8 p.m.
