Description: WHAT IS GPRO?
The U.S. Green Building Council Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is proud to bring GPRO to Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast! GPRO is a comprehensive training and certification program developed by Urban Green Council, USGBC New York. It teaches people who build, renovate and maintain buildings the principles of sustainability combined with trade-specific green construction knowledge. GPRO is a series of courses and coordinated certificate exams that teach skilled workers how to meet the expectations of owners and tenants who want healthier, environmentally sustainable, and energy-efficient homes and offices.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
The GPRO training program is designed for experienced building professionals who seek to integrate green practices into the core knowledge of their trade. The program materials and exam span the “green gap” between standard trade skills and the new awareness and skills required to successfully implement green building.
To successfully participate in the class and pass the certificate exam, individuals should have construction experience such as: CM or GC Site Superintendent, CM or GC Project Manager, CM or GC Executive Project Manager, CM or GC Project Engineer/Clerk, CM or GC Sustainability Manager, experienced tradesperson with five years of experience, tradesperson with site supervision or management responsibility, facilities manager or building owner, owner´s representative or project manager, project architect, professional engineer MEP, or commissioning agent.
