Description: Assistant Chief Thomas Munoz of the Planning Department of the City of Houston Fire Department will be the speaker. Many residents and business owners are concerned about personal safety, of ability to move about during a flood event, and loss of property, Chief Munoz has another perspective with his experience with the U.S. Coast Guard, with Hurricane Katrina, and responsibilities for providing emergency services during time of storm and flood. One of his particular concerns is that of safety. It will be a great opportunity for us to learn about things we may not have thought about.
