Description: REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the Groundwater to the Gulf teacher institute. 2011 marks the sixth year that this workshop is being offered. June 21-23, 2011, preceded by Wild Aquatic workshop on June 20.

The inland (Austin) workshop is a 3-day, field-trip based institute for teachers that emphasizes techniques for teaching water-based curricula to students in grades 4 through 8. Participants follow the path of water in Central Texas from its origins to its final destination in the Gulf of Mexico. Topics include: Aquatic WILD activities, hydrology, groundwater, urban watersheds, water quality, water protection, and water conservation. SBEC (22 hrs) credit is available for teachers.
Cost: FREE (Registration deposit required and refunded upon attending the workshop)
