Description: June Woest, of Urban Artists, has curated Art Shows in Russ Pitman Park for the last 2 years. Join us in April of 2011 for a 3rd year of public art in the park. Stroll the park trails, enjoy the spring wildflowers, and appreciate art in a natural setting. Several artists from around the Houston area and around the state of Texas will have art pieces on display until early May throughout the park.

Art in the Park 2011: “Defining Green”

Contributing artists were asked to respond with a site-specific, temporary work to the word “green” for the 2011 art show in Russ Pitman Park. Join curator June Woest, artists, and naturalists for a talk about the exhibit and a tour of the pieces on Wednesday, April 6 at 7 pm.
