Description: Turn a new page and let yourself get lost in your favorite book! Head over to Children’s Museum of Houston for a special week focused on making reading an adventure. The National Education Association (NEA)’s Read Across America is a year-round reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss.

• Mark Your Place: Make a special bookmark to save your place in your favorite book at Junktion.
• Seussical Hat: Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday this week by making a hat like the Cat In The Hat wore. Happening at Junktion.
• Door Hanger: Swing by Junktion to let visitors know you need quiet while you are lost in your reading adventure!

•Spotlight Performance: Youth Taiko group. Be entertained by this high energy performance from Kolter Elementary Taiko drum group made up of 4th and 5th grade students.

•Wind Powered Wonders: Can you harvest the wind? Design a whimsical garden of windmills, wind vanes, pinwheels and other devices that will move in the wind at the Inventors’ Workshop.
