Description: The speaker will be Diana Foss, Urban Wildlife Biologist with the Texas Parks and Wildlife, the presentation will be over Purple Martins on the Texas Gulf Coast. Purple martins absolutely seem to the most cheerful bird in your yard during the summer! Everyone will discuss the amazing life history, biology, and behavior of the purple martin, as well as their incredible migration each year. The meeting will also cover what martins seem to prefer in the way of housing, installation tips, and how to deal with pesky predators. Learn how to attract martins to your property – and what encourages them to stay for the season.
