Description: TWO SECTIONS
DAYTIME: Wednesday, March 23, 2:00-3:30 p.m., and five Wednesdays,
March 30-April 27, 1:30-3:00 p.m.
EVENING: Six Wednesdays, March 23-April 27, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
FEE: If registering before March 9 and for members of co-sponsoring organizations: $145
After March 9: $155 For Rice alumni: $135
Both sections include two optional field trips, Sunday, March 27, 1:00-5:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 23, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., locations to be announced
CO-SPONSORS: Houston Audubon Society; Gulf Coast Bird Observatory; Houston Wilderness;
Texas Master Naturalists, Gulf Coast and Heartwood Chapters

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
• Selecting binoculars and field guides
• Principles and techniques of bird identification
• Aspects of bird migration through the upper Texas coast
• Ecology of plants and birds. Habitat niches of different species
