Houston Parks and Recreation Department seeks Seasonal Naturalist

The Houston Parks and Recreation Department has one opening for a seasonal 6-month position at Lake Houston Wilderness Park with a start date in July, 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Assist the Park Naturalist in leading and creating programming at the
Nature Center.
? A special project will be assigned
? Assist with animal care and handling
? Assist with camps, programs, and other outdoor recreation programs
? Assist with all aspects of park operations, grounds maintenance, and
facility maintenance

Requirements:
? Recent graduate or a college junior or senior interested in a full time 6-
month position
? Must be able to work a 40-hour work week including weekends and
holidays
? Have a strong interest in the parks, conservation, or animal care fields
? Individuals must be detail oriented, organized, motivated and able to work
with minimal supervision

Housing is provided, and the pay is $13.50/hour
