HPARD seeks Horticulturist

The Natural Resources Division in the Houston Parks and Recreation Department is hiring a horticulturist to work in the native plant nursery, maintain the native tree farm, and assist with habitat restoration field work.

Plant propagation activities will include greenhouse facility maintenance, seed collecting, prairie plant propagation, tree propagation, and plant care. Natural resources activities will include overseeing volunteers during workdays and special events, conducting invasive species control through manual and chemical methods, and participating in prairie and tree planting projects in park sites. 

This is a full-time job including the City of Houston benefits package, and hourly pay between $20.80-$22.04. Apply here and email naturalresources@houstontx.gov to connect with us.
